Advanced Structures Technical Group (TG1)

Wind turbines

Advanced structural applications are part of our every day life and the specialists in this area are constantly faced with new exciting challenges. The development of the cutting-edge technology in joining methods and stress analysis is therefore essential for the design and the performances of bridges, buildings, wind turbines and other structural applications.

Each year, the Advanced Structures Group holds a specialist meeting whose objectives are to review the state-of-the-art and the latest developments in this field. The discussion focuses on a relevant topic and provides the ground to exchange ideas and share the experience of renowned experts.
