Younger Members' Committee (YMC)

Our Mission Statement:
To engage younger engineers in a supportive professional network to encourage and assist their professional and career development.
The YMC is here to support the network of young engineers (under 40 years). We aim to:
- Represent your views
- Encourage new people into engineering
- Highlight the importance of engineering to students
- Create networking opportunities for likeminded young professionals from a diverse engineering background
- Promote continuing professional development (CPD")
- Support students and young engineers to gain membership of The Welding Institute
- Support students and young engineers to gain registration with the Engineering Council UK
- Create local networks within the WJS branch areas
- Provide an overall Younger Members representatives network
