The Engineering Construction Industry Training Board (ECITB) is the statutory organisation, national training provider and awarding body with responsibility for the training and development of the UK’s engineering construction workforce.
The ECITB offers an advanced/modern apprenticeship in engineering construction which is recognised as a very good opportunity for people new to the industry to get craft skills, including welding and fabrication.
Many supervisors, managers and designers in the engineering industry today achieved their own craft and technician skills through this apprenticeship scheme.
