TG2 covers all of the welding processes, encompassing not only arc welding but also power beam, resistance and solid phase processes; application and control of welding processes; welding consumables; welding of pressure vessels, piping, structural steel; industrial productivity, automation and robotics; health and safety; computer software; welding applications; management and quality assurance systems; national and international standards; quality control and acceptance criteria.

Runlin Zhou
Runlin is currently being hired as a Senior Project Leader in the Arc Process, Fabrication and Welding Engineering Section of the Manufacturing Support Group at TWI Ltd.
Before joining TWI in Jan 2010, Runlin gained extensive industrial experiences in the LNG and cryogenic storage sector, as a Lead Materials/Welding Engineer for a major EPC company in the UK. Prior to his career in industry, Runlin earned his MPhil degree in Industrial Systems, Manufacturing and Management from the University of Cambridge, as well as his MEng degree in Materials Science and Engineering from the Imperial College London. He is a chartered engineer (CEng) and a member of the welding institute (MWeldI).
